Enticed by @Syahredzan from twitter, I made myself available to the event whereby @Myremi, @bongkersz and I sat through the workshop to learn more about constitution and the basis of forming a constitution of a state and for a particular pseudo-during state.

The basis of the workshop conducted by @edmundbon rides on the part where fundamental needs of a states as derived from the needs of the constituents was put together to form the basic law of the state. It was during the first module where we were told to select 6 out of 25 people to bring them over to the new earth 2.0.

I was particularly interested in the selection of the people whereby from evolution and basic needs stance that drawn the basis for the selection criteria. Most of which out of the 7 groups has common general consensus on what kind of current professions and most of the decisions was made based on the scope and perspective of the constitution of the people from the group.

I was more particularly interested in the group called Zeus, which is consist of mainly those from the legal profession; as I can see their first priority on earth 2.0 was on the stance of law and order. The generational considerations of their selection criteria was weigh on the need of law and order in new earth and not of the basic needs. I would be particularly interest to know the background of these groups which is mainly second generation of the upper class of the demographics whereby survival consciousness is very lack from them. They have also make the assumption that the new earth 2.0 will work on the same law of nature as the current earth.

One other observation was on the fact that most of the group has chosen the special package of 3 in 1 options out of the 25 where you have a mother with two youngsters. However, Only two groups consider the numbering game whereby they choose more female over male. Most of the group still have put into consideration of the morale value into consideration and not by the rules of evolution.

In Eugene Wesley Roddenberry Manuscripts, “Adam & Eve Plot” the rule of morale if face with the needs to survive, has to be put aside. Being saying that, The choice will have to be more female regardless of their choices and sexual orientation is needed to repopulate the earth. The genome pool has to be rebuilt and certain wants has to be set aside for the greater needs. This is followed by the needs for survival and the transfer of general Knowledge. The need of cultural and races’ inheritances is far from primary choice of the selection criteria.

Onto the second module, The choices will be for the consideration of the six and their need for a basic commandments over in the new Earth 2.0. The 10 commandments, as I take it, is very much depending on the selection criteria and the reason behind selecting these people. With a twist that these needs should be based on our current needs, I took a look at Maslow’s writings. Maslow wrote that the needs of people progresses depends on their stature in the society. First thing is the basic needs, followed by a healthier and safer lifestyle and excelled that towards a carefree and worry-free lifestyle to a peak comfort level. These four are in the lower three layers of the Maslow hierarchy of needs. The tip of the pyramid is further broken into 3 level whereby the freedom followed by achievements and the pinnacle of the needs. However, in Maslow’s writing, there is also the mentioned of the Utopia state where all the needs and wants of the other six has been fulfilled. In considering to that, the Synopsis done on Maslow study by Chiakago Watanabe has addressed this state of Utopia from the other axis which is beyond the context in relates to the constitutional rules of law. In chiakago’s writing, The Utopia state has no law, no rules and perfect harmony, there is no wants and needs from the people as everything needed and wanted has pre-existed.

At the last part of the workshop, the drafting of the constitution of the newly formed pseudo-state was done in manner by which most if not all of the teams wrote from the purview of the law. However, If you read the sample of the constitutions given, it was read in the layman terminology on the basis of understanding from the commoner and not stride to the realm of the legal professions.

I take the 10 commandments from the books of Torah where Moses took them from Mount Sinai for the descendants of Abraham. These commandment are so basic that even little children could understand them. The basis of a constitutions of a state (even a pseudo-state) has to be understood by all of the constituents hence the people.

I was baffled by the way TM treated an OKU recently.

My friend, Peter has his OKU application filed at TM Point. The TM Point near his place was not OKU friendly and there is no provision of access for OKU! Needless to say those useless bastards who park their cars at OKU designated parking lot, and some of those lame premises who block OKU designated parking by inconvenienced them with getting someone to unlock the barricade to the parking lot.

Much to my dismay, OKU application which supposed to be given a priority was not acted upon. And worst of all, TM Lost the applicant’s documents. They have asked the OKU to go back to their TM Point to resubmit the application again! Poor Pete.

The Corporate Social Responsibility claims of TM on OKU offers are not only OKU friendly! Their first condition has shown that they are not serious in helping the OKU. Making Pete going back twice and maybe the third time is the proof that they are totally oblivion on handling OKU and their special needs.

Dear Salleh of StarbucksMY,

This is the different in Mocha from Singapore and from Malaysia.

1. SGP – when you sip, you can taste a good mix of the coffee and chocolate. MY – You have coffee and chocolate taste almost separate in layers.
2. SGP – Mocha doesn’t have powdery sensation on the tongue. MY – Mocha seems to be powdery or at least the last bit of the chocolate at the bottom.
3. SGP – Sugar level seems to be moderate. MY – Overdose of sweetness kind of kill the enjoyment of the Mocha
4. SGP – Don’t feel thirsty after finishing the drink. MY – Always need to ask Carol for a cup of plain water when I finishes off my Mocha.

Even tough Ipoh Town Cafe uses Milo as their chocolate, The blend of their coffee and the chocolate seems to be better and surprisingly, you can see the powdery Milo but you don’t have the powdery sensation. As for Bing! coffee, Their Mocha has a better blended mix between the Chocolate and Coffee though their coffee was not as aromatic as Starbucks and most of the time, they are too heavy on their sugar which I usually ask to half the sugar level at Bing!

The art of Mocha is in the blend and mix. If it is done right, It will taste right.

I am sure it was not Carol’s fault. she is my fav baritas of all. I have also taken Starbucks Mocha from other branch in Kuching and in JB and KL, all of Malaysian Starbucks’ mocha are alike and differs from Singapore. Your consistency seems to be in place but not the blend.

The other thing is about the price even though I am not really complaining. At Starbucks, the Mocha will set me back RM 15.20, while in Ipoh Town Cafe, its RM 3.20 and in Bing! its RM 8.10 after membership discount. I don’t mind paying RM 15.20 for a cup of Mocha. However, if it is inferior to a RM 3.20 cup from somewhere else, I would think for options. Would be good if Starbucks can give out loyalty discount of sort to regular customers.

I used to have several of the tumblers but was all stolen when my house was buglarised in Dec 2009. Kinda miss them which was brought back from Australia and USA. Tumbler here seems more expensive and lesser of quality as compared to what I used to have. I miss my Starbucks New York tumbler.

Cheers,

The one from Singapore is much better than the syrup from Malaysia. It is supposed to be delicious as what I would reckon. My second choice would be from the local Bing! coffee.

What started as a show of mixed role he played as the minister for both culture and communications turns out to be a PR nightmare for the Information minister.

For the very start, It is utterly uncomprehensible to have a minister in charge of information and communications to give that kind of comment.

as sighted on wikipedia this morning,

“On 17 January 2010, as Minister of Information, he warned Malaysians to be wary of the Internet as it was introduced by the West, saying “We are not saying they cannot use Facebook or Twitter, but when using such facilities, they must upkeep the values taught by Islam, Buddhism or Christianity to maintain our culture”. Unlike the mainstream media which is tightly controlled by the Malaysian government, the internet and blogosphere has allowed a wide range of criticism against it. [4]

In retaliation, Twitter users launched a flurry of tweets marked with a #yorais hashtag [5] (a parody of Yo Mamma jokes), pushing the topic at one point into the top three trending topics on Twitter.”

The anti-western comment make him the joke of the day(s). It doesn’t take a PhD to figure out that Twitter is just a communication tools cum website to deliver messages out, that is essentially the revolution of Internet itself whereby twitter and facebook allows the sharing of ideas and knowledge in a duplex way as compare to the simplicity of Web, thereby been dubbed as web 2.0.

Web 1.0 is a tools that the BN took years to adopt, falling behind all the context element of web 2.0 While in web 1.0, information is meant for publication only, the simplex flow of information is what the propagandist would Love to use. However, evolution of technology has caught up with these trend, came the six years old web 2.0 which by now is a matured and proper platform for information disseminations, which sharing of one thoughts has been the trend of the world globally.

I would questioned the assimilation ability of our Information minister, in whether he would understand the evolution of web from simple html page to web 1.0, now web 2.0 and moving forward to Semantic Web. As a minister himself, I would asked him to go back to his old days of dissertations when information disseminations is crucial in determining the content to be added to the dissertations. Being the minister of information himself, he would have better know or be in the know of this web evolutions. Academically, his comment on the value of major religion in Malaysia against the evolution of the web has shown that he is not capable of discerning the irrelevancy of the two thereby asserting the two in contrast in his speech.

As a fellow scholars in fellowship, and an associate professor in fellowship in methodology and change, I would seriously consider the publicity of such act whereby he stepped out of his realm of knowledge. Implicate & diminicise an element of evolution of web in information and communications has shown the lack of understanding in the subject matters, the evolution as we can see it happened all the time.

For example, we are not in the time where a car has 5 wheels a speedometer and a rotary fan, cars now has all sort of gadgetries such as Air-conditioner, DVD Player, LCD TV, powered windows and tinted glass display. To the note of that, there are more than what our eyes can see, if you are using a Kompressor engine, the evolution of the combustion engine brought in by technology advancement, making it more powerful, fuel economical, and still able to work even if you put an armour piercing bullet through it. The evolution of motor oil itself is enough to wow some people. Latest fully synthetic motor oil can be drained totally and still work. The metal bonding and ionising bond technology is what keeping the motor working even if there is total drained of the motor oil.

These information can be obtained form the internet through the web. Most of the latest information are from web 2.0 platform.

It is the same as to the evolution of web. When web started it was only “world wide web” in CERN’s lab. the evolution path from that page until Rais Yatim’s Wikipedia page is a journey of many scholars, technologist, users and the conglomerate of all the knowledge of these peoples including the creator of the article and the users updating it.

the news headline sparks off the search and blame on the lost of not one but two jet engines has caused me to think, how can the military/air force be so careless as to misplace and got it stolen two jet engines. These engines are not something that ordinary people would buy. Where has these two engines gone to? was it sold to militants cum terrorist who is gonna use it for some no good reason? or was it merely scrapped into pieces for a few thousand of ringgits in some junk yard or smelter?

Now that our right honourable PM has asked for no cover up, I was wondering who is the eventual scapegoats that will be blamed for the lost of the engine?
